ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦੇਵਿੰਦਰ ਫਡਣਵੀਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ “ਹਿੰਦ ਕੀ ਚਾਦਰ” ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ਼ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ 350ਵੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਸ਼ਤਾਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਲਈ ₹94 ਕਰੋੜ 35 ਲੱਖ 64 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਿੱਖ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਸ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਹ ਰਕਮ ਘੱਟ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਾਂਦੇੜ, ਨਾਗਪੁਰ, ਰਾਏਗੜ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਰਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਸੰਤ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਦਮਦਮੀ ਟਕਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਸੰਤ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹਰਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ਼ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ, ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ, ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਸ. ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ਼ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੀ ਫਡਣਵੀਸ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਹੈ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ “ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ਼ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੀਸ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਸਰੋਤ ਬਣੇ। ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੰਨੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਵੰਤ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਯਤਨ ਹੈ।” ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ 350ਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਅਧਾਰ ਤੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਇੰਨੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ, ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ਼ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹਰਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਜੀ (ਮੁਖੀ ਦਮਦਮੀ ਟਕਸਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤ ਸਮਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਸਰਚਾਂਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਿਆਲਾ, ਸਿੱਖ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ, ਰਾਜ ਘੱਟ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਹੈਪੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਤਹਿ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ਼ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਸ਼ਤਾਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ₹94.35 ਕਰੋੜ ਦੀ ਰਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਂਝ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ “ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ, ਮਾਣਯੋਗ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਫਡਣਵੀਸ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਘੱਟ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਤਹਿ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਆਭਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ‘ਹਿੰਦ ਕੀ ਚਾਦਰ’ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਵੱਲ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਦਮ ਹੈ।”
ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਨੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਹੋਰ ਅਹਿਮ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਨਿਗਮਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨਿਗਮ, ਵੀਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨਿਗਮ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਵਾਸਵੀ ਕੰਨਿਆਕ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨਿਗਮ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ

In a historic decision, the Maharashtra Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, has approved a budgetary allocation of ₹94 crore 35 lakh 64 thousand for the grand celebrations marking the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of “Hind Di Chadar,” Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.
Giving details, Mr. Jaspal Singh Sidhu, Head of the Sikh Coordination Committee, informed that this sanctioned amount will be utilized by the Minority Development Department for organizing major martyrdom commemoration events in Nanded, Nagpur, Raigad, and other districts of Maharashtra.
He further stated that these ceremonies will be organized in association with Sant Samaj and the Head of Damdami Taksal, Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa Ji, to convey Guru Sahib’s divine message of sacrifice, peace, faith, and humanity to the younger generations.
Mr. Sidhu said that this decision symbolizes the devotion and respect of the Fadnavis Government and the people of Maharashtra towards the Sikh community and the supreme martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.
He remarked —
“When Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji sacrificed His life to protect religious freedom, He became an eternal source of inspiration not only for the Sikh Panth but for the whole of humanity. The Maharashtra Government’s decision to sanction such a significant amount for these commemorations is a noble gesture to keep alive the sacred memory of Guru Sahib’s benevolence and teachings.”
Sidhu emphasized that celebrating the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Guru Sahib Ji with such devotion and priority at the state level reflects Maharashtra’s deep spiritual and cultural reverence for Sikh history, Guru Sahib’s supreme sacrifice, and India’s composite spiritual ethos.
On this occasion, Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa Ji (Head, Damdami Taksal & Sant Samaj), Prof. Sarchand Singh Khiala (BJP Spokesperson, Punjab), Jaspal Singh Sidhu (Chief, Sikh Coordination Committee), and Mr. Happy Singh (Member, State Minority Commission) expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Maharashtra Government. They lauded Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and the Minority Development Department for their historic and respectful initiative in honoring the legacy of “Hind Di Chadar” Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji through this state-level commemoration.
They jointly stated —
“The Sikh Panth deeply thanks the Maharashtra Government, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Fadnavis Ji, and the Minority Development Department for their decision to commemorate the martyrdom of ‘Hind Di Chadar’ at the state level. This is a remarkable and commendable step toward honoring Sikh history and promoting the spirit of national unity.”
Mr. Sidhu also added that in the same Cabinet meeting, three other major economic development corporations were approved — namely, the Parshuram Economic Development Corporation, Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Economic Development Corporation, and Shri Vasavi Kanyak Economic Development Corporation.
